What Does Bowler Do?
Bowler is a ranged, ground-only troop whose attack rolls a boulder in a straight line rather than a simple projectile. That boulder passes through and damages every ground troop it hits along the way, rather than stopping at the first target, and knocks each one back slightly.
This makes him especially strong against a lane of troops lined up together, since a single roll can hit multiple targets at once, chipping away at an entire push in a way most single-target troops can't.
Where Bowler Fits
Bowler works well as a defensive answer to grouped ground pushes, and can also support an offensive push by clearing out defenders lined up in front of a tank, letting the rest of the attack get through more cleanly.
How to Counter Bowler
Air troops sidestep him entirely, since he can't target or hit them. On the ground, a fast melee troop can close the distance and take him out before he gets much value from repeated rolls.
