What Does Arrows Do?
Arrows is a spell with one of the widest damage radii in the game, covering a large area and hitting every ground and air unit inside it at once. Its damage per target is modest, which means it's less effective against a single high-HP troop, but devastating against a cluster of cheap units standing together.
Because the radius is so wide, it's forgiving to aim - even an imprecise cast usually catches most of a swarm, which makes it one of the more reliable anti-swarm spells for less experienced players.
Where Arrows Fits
Arrows is a defensive answer to swarm strategies rather than an offensive tool - it's most valuable against decks built around Minion Horde, Skeleton Army, Goblin Gang, or Barbarians, where a single cast can neutralize an entire push for a fraction of the Elixir the opponent spent.
How to Counter Arrows
The simplest counter is not overcommitting to a single swarm push - spreading troops out or mixing in a tankier unit alongside cheap swarm cards means Arrows can't get full value from one cast, since it can't one-shot higher-HP troops the way it does Skeletons or Minions.
