What Does Golem Do?

Golem is one of the tankiest troops in the game, targeting buildings only and ignoring enemy troops entirely on his way there. His enormous hitpoints let him absorb an extreme amount of damage before falling.

When he finally dies, he splits into two Golemites, each of which deals its own burst of explosive damage upon its own death - meaning even destroying him fully can still cost the defender if they aren't spread out.

Where Golem Fits

He's a heavy beatdown win condition, typically paired with strong ranged and splash support behind him, using his massive hitpoints to buy time for those cards to clear a path to the tower.

How to Counter Golem

High sustained damage like Inferno Tower or Inferno Dragon can eliminate him efficiently, while keeping defensive troops spread out avoids taking heavy splash damage from the Golemite death explosions.
