What Does Ronin Do?

Ronin is a ground-only melee troop built around a single mechanic: every 3.5 seconds, he can block one incoming ground melee attack and reflect it back at the attacker for double the damage he would have taken. He spawns already charged, so the parry is live from the moment he's deployed, and it keeps recharging whether he's walking, fighting, or even frozen.

The parry only covers ground melee hits - ranged damage, air attacks, spells, and area damage all bypass it completely. Outside that window, he fights like a normal melee troop with HP similar to a Knight and damage closer to a Prince.

Where Ronin Fits

Ronin isn't a win condition himself - he's a specialist defensive answer that gets slotted into decks built around a separate win condition, like Hog Rider or Royal Hogs. His main job is turning a fight against a heavy melee tank into a losing trade for the opponent, which frees up the rest of the deck to focus on pushing rather than defending.

How to Counter Ronin

Swarm troops are the cleanest answer - since the parry only blocks one attack every 3.5 seconds, throwing multiple cheap units at him forces him to waste it on a weak hit before your real threat gets through.

Anything that doesn't rely on ground melee contact sidesteps the ability entirely - ranged troops, air units, and spells all ignore the parry completely, since it's specifically built to counter melee attackers.

How does Ronin's Parry Damage ability work?

Every 3.5 seconds, Ronin can block one incoming ground melee attack and reflect it back at the attacker for double the damage he would have taken. He spawns already charged, so he can parry immediately on deployment.

What does Ronin counter well?

Heavy melee tanks like P.E.K.K.A, Mega Knight, Giant Skeleton, and Prince - his parry turns their attack into a losing trade for them.

What beats Ronin?
