What Does Earthquake Do?
Earthquake is a spell that affects only ground troops and buildings, dealing damage over its duration rather than in a single instant hit. Its damage output ramps up the longer the effect lasts, and it deals noticeably more damage to buildings than to troops.
On top of the damage, it also slows any enemy ground troops caught within its area for the duration, which can disrupt the timing of a push or make a defense easier to line up.
Where Earthquake Fits
Earthquake works well as chip damage against ground-heavy decks and defensive buildings, and its slow effect can help stall a push just long enough for the rest of a deck to catch up defensively.
How to Counter Earthquake
Air troops are completely unaffected by it, so leaning on air pressure is a clean way to sidestep whatever damage or slow effect Earthquake would otherwise provide.
